Volunteer & Visitor Information

Volunteer & Visitor Information

  • Parents:  Attached is our updated visitor expectations and volunteer form for parents to fill out when they would like to volunteer or visit at Lakes during the year.  We have set some expectations to ensure we provide a safe, secure, and orderly environment for our students and staff.  Please do not fill out the form until you have been approved by Principal Howerton for volunteering.  We will have several opportunities for parents to help out throughout the year and the best place to start is with our Lakes PTO group!
Thank You Deputy Clayton & Deputy Hillier!

Thank You Deputy Clayton & Deputy Hillier!

  • This year we have two Livingston County Sheriff Deputies regularly patrolling the district from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. You will see Deputies Anthony Clayton and Daniel Hillier around the district. The LCSO, Hartland Township, HCS, and Charyl Stockwell Academy have partnered to provide this coverage. The deputies will be patrolling the district streets, Spranger Park, school parking lots, walking around buildings doing safety checks, visiting students and staff, etc.

I again want to share our Tier 1 Positive Behavior Expectations that we have at Lakes Elementary.  Tier 1 means that ALL students have and are taught these expectations and we just spent January reviewing these behavior expectations with all students.  The SEL (social emotional learning) focus area for the month of March is self-awareness/understanding differences.  Here is thehandout that summarizes this lesson that will go home to parents once the lesson is taught in class.  Please also make sure to check out the Lakes SEL Facebook page.
