Fun Run INFO!!!

Fun Run INFO!!!

Lakes Elementary’s annual Fun Run is our biggest fundraiser of the year and it gives the entire community–parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors and friends–the chance to support our school. To help Lakes continue its tradition of excellence, students and families gather online pledges to raise money that benefits each and every student in our school. Students receive prizes for each total donation level earned. All students may also participate in Spirit Week leading up to our Fun Run on October 7, 2022!  Donations will be accepted September 28-October 7, 2022. All families are encouraged to log on to mybooster.com to set up an account for each student! From there, you just need to share the link with family and friends encouraging them to support Lakes!  Please read the parent letter below that has all of the information on our Fun Run!!!

Volunteer & Visitor Information

Volunteer & Visitor Information

  • Parents:  Attached is our updated visitor expectations and volunteer form for parents to fill out when they would like to volunteer or visit at Lakes during the year.  We have set some expectations to ensure we provide a safe, secure, and orderly environment for our students and staff.  Please do not fill out the form until you have been approved by Principal Howerton for volunteering.  We will have several opportunities for parents to help out throughout the year and the best place to start is with our Lakes PTO group!
Welcome Deputy Clayton & Deputy Hillier!

Welcome Deputy Clayton & Deputy Hillier!

  • This year we will have two Livingston County Sheriff Deputies regularly patrolling the district from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. You will see Deputies Anthony Clayton and Daniel Hillier around the district. The LCSO, Hartland Township, HCS, and Charyl Stockwell Academy have partnered to provide this coverage. The deputies will be patrolling the district streets, Spranger Park, school parking lots, walking around buildings doing safety checks, visiting students and staff, etc.

    • The SEL focus area for the month of September is social awareness...specifically, KINDNESS!!!! All students will be explicitly taught what it means to be kind, things they can do to spread kindness, and what to do if/when someone isn't being kind.
Check-out this moving short film from the September lesson that teaches the concept of empathy, being kind even when it is hard, and the power of a single act of kindness!
